Jordan Alexander has had a very successful first year in the Toronto music scene. She was crowned the winner of the Spectra Talent Competition 2013 and was a chosen artist to perform in Honey Jam 2013. It was through Honey Jam that Jordan met her now manager, producer and co-writer, Jarvis Church.
Writing and composing for the last four years, Jordan finally decided to share her gift for music by getting on stage and performing her original songs. The sound and poetry in Jordan’s music reflect her bright and passionate personality. Jordan’s musical influences include R&B and Hip Hop, yet her own music is soulfully Rock Alternative in the flavour of Tracy Chapman and Ani DiFranco.
After moving to Toronto from Vancouver to pursue a career in acting, the city uncovered Jordan’s love for song writing and performing. A late bloomer as a musician, finding her footing at age 20, Jordan has quickly become a successful artist and can be found playing music at venues all over Toronto. Jordan also plays local charity events such as The Aids Fundraiser at Club 120, Voila Learning Fundraiser at Pero, and Toronto Pride 2013.
Jordan has already had an exciting start to 2014. She was selected to open for Tegan and Sara at the TD Music Café. Excited by the opportunities the music world holds, Jordan Alexander and Jarvis Church eagerly anticipate the launch of their EP.
